Christiane Falk.
Radio Eins moderator and DJ
Christiane Falk, born in 1976, was already crazy about music as a child. At the age of seven, she got the Hammond organ she had dreamed of for Christmas, and at eight she earned her first stereo system by cleaning out her neighbors’ basements every month and selling the junk at the flea market. Later she studied German, English and folklore in Freiburg and worked from 1997 as a presenter, music reporter and editor for Das Ding (SWR, program “Lautstark”) and 1Live (WDR). In 2002, Christiane received the Kurt Magnus Award for above-average achievements in radio journalism. In 2016, she was awarded the Indie Axe by the Association of Independent Music Companies (VUT). On radioeins, she hosts the shows “Laut und kantig” and “radioeins ab zehn”. For SWR2, she presents new music. Christiane has also been DJing at her party series “Laut & Kantig” for 20 years.
