Listen to Berlin 2022/23

The application phase for the 15th Listen to Berlin: Compilation is over! Thank you very much for the numerous submissions of different genres and productions.

In the next step our jury will decide which 18 artists will be on our compilation. Stay tuned!

The compilation serves as the capital’s cross-genre musical busined card, showcasing Berlin’s up-and-coming talent. We are expressly looking for unusual and courageous productions that create new impulses and listening habits. In addition to being published on the compilation, which is carefully curated by an expert jury, the 18 selected artists will have the chance to win the Listen to Berlin: Jury Prize and various performance opportunities. The compilarion will be published digitally on all streaming platforms and on an exclusive limited CD. The criteria for submission are summarized below.

The listen to berlin Compilation is a space for experimentation. It is open to all genres and styles and is not satisfied with the ordinary. It wants to be unadjusted and unconventional, innovative and progressive. Artists featured on the compilation in the past include Bonaparte, Catnapp, SIND, Alin Coen, uon, We Will Kaleid, VALENTIN, Breezy, DJ İpek İpekçioğlu, Sookee, Brand Brauer Frick, Niconé, Oliver Koletzki, Alice Phoebe Lou, Kat Frankie, Get Well Soon und Moderat.

beyond genre

Good music knows no genre boundaries. Berlin doesn’t either. Whether afrobeats, experimental electronica, funk and soul music, rap, hip-hop, jazz, reggaeton, pop indie sounds or droning rock – the sound of the city is versatile. We are looking for a cross-section of the most innovative and exciting music of the future: a soundtrack for a diverse city.
