The prize is awarded for outstanding artistic achievement in the current Berlin music scene. With this award category, we want to make musicians visible who distinguish themselves by the outstanding artistic quality and who are able to set creative impulses with their work.

The prize honours those who showed exemplary effort in creating an open society and advocated for diversity, tolerance, and integration of people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Berlin music industry.

The prize is awarded to an individual that has rendered outstanding services to the Berlin music scene or the development of the wider music industry through journalistic or publishing work.

The prize is awarded for a particularly creative marketing campaign in the fields of music for advertising, music for film, music for games, social media, digital or out-of-home.

The prize is awarded for an especially innovative music video by musicians and video artists from Berlin.
