For us as venue operators, the topic of “Sustainability in the events industry” is much more than just a trend. With vision, commitment, and self-dedication, we as a team continually work to positively impact all processes within our company structures in terms of sustainability. We can only drive this from within because a venue like ours, with its diverse offerings, cannot yet be completely carbon-neutral today.

For this reason, the initial certification of the Max-Schmeling-Halle by Green Globe in 2010 was an important milestone for us. We are proud to have been certified with the highest level of recognition, the Platinum status, in 2022. Our commitment to sustainability has been continuously upheld by all stakeholders for over 13 years. In particular, the conversion to energy-efficient LED lighting and water-saving measures have propelled us forward in recent years.

Sustainability is not just happening behind the scenes; we also strive to positively influence our visitors. This includes expanding our gastronomic offerings to include vegan products. In this way, we contribute to creating a more sustainable future in this area as well. Our communication about sustainability is also directed at all those interested.
