Maureen Mutheu.

Maureen “Mo” Mutheu is one of Berlin’s creative masterminds and has her fingers in almost everything. Born in Kenya, she has been at home in Berlin for over ten years and works as a presenter, event curator and music and culture consultant. Maureen’s mission is to create access and visibility for talented, diverse creatives & artists* and to strengthen BIPoC’s sense of community. Maureen’s diverse projects have included working with artists as an A&R consultant, working as Tour&Artist Manager for Sauti Sol, one of Africa’s biggest Afropop bands, and working in community relations as well as guest management for receptions, festivals and community events. In addition to her own event series, Songversations, Maureen is also the co-founder of Higher Grounds and has also been involved with United We Stream since the beginning. She was also on the jury of SPÄTIVAL Band contest in 2020 and part of the board of trustees of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR – an initiative of Berlin’s Senator for Culture Klaus Lederer.
