My name is Lioba Jakoby (Lio J). I am 17 years old and have just completed my high school diploma. Since I was 12 years old, I have been writing my own songs, and two years ago, I started producing and releasing my first songs. I acquired a lot of stage experience by being a member of the Junges Ensemble Friedrichstadtpalast, and through a singing role in a play directed by Thomas Ostermeier at the Schaubühne Berlin. In addition, I am very active at the Fridays for Future movement and regularly perform on stage as a singer, as well as a moderator for demonstrations. In March 2023, I was awarded first place in the Singer/Songwriter category in the Jugend Musiziert competition. My songs often center around societal issues and fears, especially those of younger generations. Through my music, I try to raise awareness about these problems, as music is a universal language that resonates with everyone.
