Music is an essential part of life, a sounding board for an attitude to life, entertainment, but also an art form to be taken seriously. Music is business, but also a platform for the big social issues, from #MeToo to climate neutrality, from right-wing rock to queerness – and of course for Corona.

We take up all this in the “key” of Deutschlandfunk Kultur: up-to-date, discursive, controversial, polyphonic, opinionated. We take music seriously as a social, economic and political phenomenon. And we invite the musicians themselves, talk to them not only about their new album, but also about their goals and wishes, their failure. We report comprehensively and differentiated, critically and independently. And of course with a lot of passion for the music itself. Every day anew.
