Info:
Melissa Kolukisagil has been active in the music scene for several years, taking on a wide variety of roles. Besides her work in political communication, she started working as a freelance booker, night manager and organizer of concerts and club events. In August 2019, she was selected for the vut e.V. mentoring program for women, trans and non-binary people in the music industry. In the same year, she created her own heart project with İç İçe. Since then she has been working on the first and only diverse festival for new Anatolian music in Germany, which brings together and inspires people from a wide variety of communities and has been touring since last year.
She is also involved in the production, consultation and curation of various event formats and knows how to create a discrimination-sensitive and accessible space by bringing in her intersectional perspectives. Since August 2020, she has been leading the project “Diversitygerechtes Ausgehen in Berlin”, a cooperation project of Eine Welt der Vielfalt e.V. and Clubcommission, which also allows her to structurally work on what’s on her agenda: Making nightlife less discriminatory and the diversity of the cultural landscape more visible.
