M.Rider showed an interest in music early in her life. At the age of seven, she began studying classical guitar in Zagreb. After that, she started writing her own songs. To pursue music further and to be in a more favourable environment, she moved to Brighton. Here, she started a new project and released an album that earned her a publishing deal with Fat Cat Records (2012) and was played by BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio Sussex. Based in Berlin since 2014, she started writing music focusing more on the use of synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers but still intertwining it with live instruments like guitar, saxophone, percussion and drums.
