The Green Music Initiative (GMI) is an independent think tank that aims to inspire and support people in the music festival and event industry to make their activities more sustainable and future-proof. Based in Berlin, the non-profit initiative is a cross-sectoral innovation and research agency that today unites more than 150 festivals and 200 venues from all over Europe. As part of a hydrogen fuel cell consortium, the GMI is currently developing fuel cells for festivals and events, for emission-free energy of the future.
